मशहूर उर्दू शायर राहत इंदौरी नहीं रहे. कोरोना संक्रमित पाए जाने से 70 वर्षीय इंदौरी को बीती देर रात मध्यप्रदेश के अरबिंदो अस्पताल के ICU वार्ड में भर्ती किया गया था. जो कि कोविड स्पेशल अस्पताल है. उन्होने ट्वीट कर इसकी जानकारी दी थी, जिसमे लिखा था कि “कोविड के शुरुआती लक्षण दिखने पर मेरा टेस्ट किया गया जिसमे रिपोर्ट पॉजिटिव आने से मै अरबिंदो अस्पताल में भर्ती हूँ. दुआ करें कि मै इस बीमारी को हरा दूँ. बस इतनी इल्तज़ा है मुझे या मेरे घर पर फ़ोन न करें, मेरी खैरियत ट्वीट और फेसबुक पर आपको मिलती रहेगी.”
अस्पताल के छाती रोग विशेषज्ञ डॉ. डोसी का कहना है कि इंदौरी के दोनों फेफड़ों में निमोनिया था. साँस लेने में तकलीफ के चलते उन्हें कृत्रिम ऑक्सीजन दी जा रही थी.
बता दें राहत इंदौरी उर्दू के एक जिन्दादिली और बेबाक शायर थे.उन्होंने बॉलीवुड के लिए भी कई गाने लिखे है. राहत साहब की सबसे खास बात यही है कि उनकी शायरी मीर और ग़ालिब की ज़मीन पर उपजी अपनी ही तरह की एक शायरी है. वो मीर और ग़ालिब के खानदान के ज़रूर हैं लेकिन राहत साहब की पहचान उनकी अपनी है.
