अयोध्या में राम जन्मभूमि मंदिर निर्माण को लेकर भूमि पूजन होने के बाद निर्माण कार्य शुरू होने के बीच श्रीराम जन्मभूमि तीर्थ क्षेत्र के महासचिव चंपत राय ने कहा कि मंदिर के निर्माण कार्य पूरा होने में कम से कम 36 महीने से 40 महीने (3 से साढ़े 3 साल) का वक्त लग सकता है.
श्रीराम जन्मभूमि तीर्थ क्षेत्र के महासचिव चंपत राय ने कहा कि मंदिर के निर्माण कार्य में तेजी लाई जाएगी और इसके करीब 40 महीने के अंदर पूरा हो जाने की उम्मीद है. उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि मंदिर के नींव में मजबूती लाने के मकसद से 1200 खंभों के लिए खुदाई कराई जाएगी.
अयोध्या में 5 अगस्त को राम जन्मभूमि मंदिर का भूमि पूजन प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के हाथों कराया गया था. भूमि पूजन के बाद श्रीराम जन्मभूमि तीर्थ क्षेत्र के महासचिव चंपत राय ने पांडाल हटाकर साफ-सफाई के बाद निर्माण काम में तेजी लाने का निर्देश दिया था.
भूमि पूजन के बाद चंपत राय ने आजतक को बताया था कि मॉनसून के दौरान बुनियाद का काम शुरू होना मुश्किल है. बारिश की वजह से यह काम और धीमा पड़ सकता है. मंदिर के प्लिंथ और ग्राउंड फ्लोर के काम में 18 महीने तक लग सकते हैं.
ऐसा कहा जा रहा है कि ग्राउंड फ्लोर से ऊपर की दो मंजिल बनने में 14-18 महीने का वक्त लग सकता है. अगले 6 महीने मंदिर के अंतिम कार्यों में लगेंगे. इसमें 161 फीट के शिखर का काम भी शामिल है. मंदिर में 5 गुंबद का निर्माण हो सकता है जिसमें ज्यादा से ज्यादा वक्त लगेगा.
