मामला हबीबीगंज थाना क्षेत्र की है. पीड़िता ने पुलिस को बताया कि उसका घर कानपुर में है, लेकिन बहन की मदद करने के लिए उसके जीजा ने उसे बुलाया था.वह एक महीने से अपनी बहन और जीजा के साथ रह रही है. पीड़िता का कहना है कि शनिवार को दोपहर में वह घर में अकेली थी. इसी बीच उसका जीजा घर आया और उसका मुंह बंद कर जबरन उसे साथ दुष्कर्म किया.

इतना ही नहीं आरोपी ने उसे अपनी दीदी से बताने के लिए मना किया और कहा अगर पीड़िता ये बात उससे बताती है तो वो उसे जान से मार देगा. पीड़िता ने बताया कि जब शाम को उसकी बहन घर लौटी तो उसने अपने जीजा की करतूत उसे बताई. जिसके बाद पीड़िता और उसकी बहन आरोपी के खिलाफ शिकायत दर्ज करने हबीबागंज थाने पहुंचे.
