रायपुर। हाल ही में सोनी लिव पर एक आर्थिक फ्रॉड पर आधारिक वेब सीरीज स्कैम 1992: द हर्षद मेहता स्टोरी रिलीज हुई है। वेब सीरीज (SCAM 1992 Harshad Mehta) को काफी अच्छा रिस्पॉन्स मिला है। वेब सीरीज का 50-50 मिनट के 9 एपिसोड है। जिसमें आप 500 करोड़ का बैंक फ्रॉड सामने आता है। कहानी की शुरूआत इस बैंक फ्रॉड से होती है और भारत के प्रधानमंत्री को सवालों के घेरे में खड़ा करके खत्म हो जाती हैं। ये वेब सीरीज देबाशीष बसु और सुचेता दलाल की किताब द स्कैम पर आधारित है जो हर्षद मेहता के शेयर बाजार घोटाले पर लिखी गयी हैं।

आपको बता दें छत्तीसगढ़ के रायपुर से हर्षद मेहता का पुराना रिश्ता रहा है। हर्षद पहली बार तब सुर्खियों में आये थे, जब देश का शेयर मार्केट धड़ाम से गिर पड़ा और इसके केंद्र में नज़र आये हर्षद मेहता। दरअसल हर्षद का बाल्यकाल रायपुर छत्तीसगढ़ में बीता था। रायपुर के नहरपारा में उनका परिवार रहता था। पिता शांतिलाल मेहता की गुरुनानक चौक में एक छोटी सी दुकान थी।

लोग बताते है हर्षद मेहता और उनके छोटे भाई अश्विन मेहता रायपुर के प्रतिष्ठित होली क्रॉस बैरन बाजार सेकेंडरी स्कूल में पढ़ते थे। रायपुर में हर्षद एक कमरे के मकान में माता-पिता, चार भाइयों और एक बहन के साथ रहते थे। हर्षद मेहता क्रिकेट का शौकीन और महत्वाकांक्षी था। RBI की लचर गाइड लाइन्स का फायदा उठाते हुए उसने एक कुचक्र रचा और 1992 में देश का सबसे चर्चित इंडियन स्टॉक मार्केट स्कैम सामने आया, जो हर्षद मेहता स्कैम के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

रायपुर में उसके क्लासमेट्स आज भी गाहे बगाहे उसे याद करते हैं। छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार के कैबिनेट मंत्री मोहम्मद अकबर, कारोबारी हरबख्श लाली, सेवानिवृत्त अफसर वीरेंद्र बिलैया, स्टेट बैंक अफसर मनहरण वेलु और छत्तीसगढ़ के पूर्व मुख्य सचिव (वर्तमान अध्यक्ष ‘रेरा’) विवेक ढांड के नाम हर्षद के स्कूल/कॉलेज के साथियों में शुमार रहे हैं।हर्षद मेहता रायपुर के प्रतिष्ठित दुर्गा कॉलेज में छात्रसंघ सचिव भी रहे हैं।
