देश के जाने-माने अस्पताल राम मनोहर लोहिया हॉस्पिटल के डॉक्टर असोसिएशन ने भारत बायोटेक (Bharat Biotech) की कोवैक्सी (Covaxin) लगवाने से इंकार कर दिया है। एक पत्र के जरिये डॉक्टर्स ने ये मांग की हैं। डॉक्टर्स का कहना है कि कोवैक्सी (Covaxin) की जगह उन्हें कोविशील्ड वैक्सीन(Covishield Vaccine) लगाई जाए।

दरसल देश की राजधानी दिल्ली (Delhi ) मेें केंद्र सरकार के अधीन आने वाले सभी अस्पतालों में भारत बायोटेक (Bharat Biotech) और आईसीएमआर (ICMR )द्वारा विकसित ‘कोवैक्सीन’ ही लगाई जा रही है। वहीं दिल्ली सरकार के सभी अस्पतालों में सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट(Serum Institute of India) द्वारा बनी ‘कोविशील्ड’ वैक्सीन लगाई जा रही है।

आरएमएल(ram manohar lohia hospital) स्पताल केंद्र सरकार के अधीन आता है ऐसे में यहां सभी को कोवैक्सीन (Covaxin) ही लगाई जा रही है। यही वजह है कि यहां के रेजिडेंट डॉक्टर एसोसिएशन ने मांग की है कि उन्हें भी कोविशील्ड वैक्सीन लगाई जाए। उनका कहना है कि कोवैक्सीन के तीसरे चरण का ट्रायल चल रहा है और इसका डाटा भी अभी तक पूरी तरह से सामने नहीं आया है। हम चाहते हैं कि हमें भी कोविशील्ड वैक्सीन लगाई जाए।

रेजिडेंट डॉक्टर एसोसिएशन के ही सदस्य डॉक्टर का कहना है कि टीकाकरण स्वैच्छिक है। इसमें किसी के ऊपर जबरदस्ती नहीं है कि कोई टीका लगवाए ही। ऐसे में अगर हम चाहते हैं कि हमें कोविशील्ड का टीका लगाया जाए तो इसमें क्या गलत है।
