अमृतसर| पंजाब के मशहूर गायक दिलजान की एक सड़क हादसे में मौत हो गई है। हादसा सोमवार की देर रात करीब 2 बजे अमृतसर में जंडियाला गुरु के पास हुआ। पुलिस थाना जंडियाला गुरु के अनुसार, दिलजान अपनी महिंद्रा केयूवी 100 गाड़ी (पीबी 08 डीएच 3665) में जालंधर से अमृतसर आ रहे थे।
इसी दौरान उनकी गाड़ी आगे चल रहे बड़े ट्राले से टकरा गई। हादसे में उनकी गाड़ी के परखच्चे उड़ गए। घटना स्थल पर पहुंची पुलिस ने दिलजान को गाड़ी से बाहर निकालकर उन्हें पास के एक निजी अस्पताल में दाखिल करवाया। वहां डॉक्टरों ने पुलिस टीम को बताया कि दिलजान की मौत पहले ही हो चुकी है।
पुलिस ने दिलजान का शव कब्जे में लेकर एक निजी अस्पताल की मोर्चरी में रख दिया है। दिलजान की पत्नी और बच्चे कनाडा में हैं। उनके आने के बाद 5 अप्रैल को ही शव का पोस्टमार्टम करवाया जाएगा।
जंडियाला गुरु थाना के एएसआई दुर्लभ दर्शन सिंह ने बताया कि दिलजान गाड़ी में अकेले थे। हादसे के कारणों की जांच की जा रही है। दिलजान की मौत का समाचार मिलते ही घटनास्थल पर कई कलाकार मौके पर पहुंच गए थे। दिलजान के निधन से पंजाबी म्यूजिक इंडस्ट्री में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई।
बता दें कि दिलजान को एक रिएलिटी शो से पहचान मिली थी। वे करतारपुर के रहने वाले थे। उनका नया गीत तेरे वरगे जल्द ही रिलीज होने वाला था।
